Abhinav Mohan, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute as a pain management physician. Dr. Mohan is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with subspecialty training in interventional pain management. He will focus on diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions related to the spine and musculoskeletal system.

Dr. Mohan’s areas of expertise include electrodiagnostic studies, minimally invasive procedures, multidisciplinary pain management, pain neuroscience education, functional restoration, regenerative medicine, and lifestyle medicine. He performs interventional procedures using both fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance, such as epidural injections, facet-targeted interventions, nerve blocks, joint injections, myofascial injections, and platelet-rich plasma therapy.

Before joining Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Mohan worked at the Center for Interdisciplinary Spine in Sacramento, California.

Dr. Mohan earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed an internal medicine internship and served as chief resident during his physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida. He also completed a fellowship in chronic pain medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Mohan has contributed to advancing medical knowledge by publishing in medical journals, presenting at scientific meetings and serving as a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

He emphasized his approach to patient care: “I educate my patients about their condition and use timely and accurate diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments to help them regain their desired lifestyle.”

Fluent in English, Spanish and Tamil, Dr. Mohan will see patients at two Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care locations: FIU (800 SW 108 Avenue) in Miami; and Pinecrest (13101 S. Dixie Highway) in Pinecrest.
