Adriana Arenas, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute as a board-certified nonsurgical spine care physician. Dr. Arenas specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, providing evaluation and treatment for patients with spine conditions, neurologic injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Her work emphasizes restoring function and improving quality of life.
Her clinical interests include electrodiagnostic medicine such as nerve conduction studies and electromyography, nerve blocks under ultrasound guidance, and skin biopsy for diagnosing small fiber neuropathy. Dr. Arenas also manages spasticity using botulinum toxins and performs injections for conditions like sialorrhea, cervical dystonia, temporomandibular joint disorders, and migraines. She offers care for amputees, conducts wheelchair evaluations, and prescribes orthotics for limb and spine support.

Dr. Arenas received her medical degree from Universidad El Bosque School of Medicine in Bogotá, Colombia. She completed an internship at Miami Children’s Hospital (now Nicklaus Children’s Hospital) and was chief resident during her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Her training focused on functional restoration, neurologic rehabilitation, and nonsurgical spine care.
She has contributed to medical journals, taught future physicians, and participated in clinical research.
Dr. Arenas describes her approach as centered on functional improvement, prevention of complications, and building strong partnerships with patients and families. “Rehabilitation is a team effort,” she said. “I take time to understand each patient’s expectations because when we work closely together, we can create a plan that restores independence and supports long-term well-being. Collaboration with therapists and medical specialists ensures patients receive coordinated, compassionate care.”
Dr. Arenas speaks English and Spanish fluently and is conversational in Portuguese. She will see patients at 8950 N. Kendall Dr., Ste. 104W in Miami.
