Board-certified neurologist Adriana Grau Chaves, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Grau Chaves specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of brain and nervous system disorders, including epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Grau Chaves received her medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Asuncion – Facultad de Medicina in Paraguay. She completed both an internal medicine residency and a neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Her further training includes an epilepsy fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and a clinical neurophysiology/EEG fellowship at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Maryland.

Dr. Grau Chaves’ research is centered on developing therapies to improve outcomes for patients with epilepsy. She has published her findings in medical journals and presented them at scientific meetings. Her approach uses evidence-based medicine with a focus on collaborative care for patients with chronic neurological conditions. Dr. Grau Chaves aims to educate and empower patients so they can take an active role in their health.

She speaks English and Spanish fluently and will see patients at Baptist Hospital in Miami.
