Baptist Health South Florida has been ranked No. 3 on the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care List, according to an announcement by Great Place To Work and Fortune magazine. The organization is the highest-ranked healthcare system in Florida in the large companies category.

The award is based on survey responses from nearly 228,000 employees at health care organizations certified by Great Place To Work. The surveys are part of a larger study that included over 1.3 million responses representing more than 8.4 million employees nationwide.

“We take great pride in the special culture and remarkable team that makes Baptist Health an exceptional place to work, grow and create meaningful impact,” said Adriene McCoy, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer of Baptist Health South Florida. “Guided by our shared values and sense of purpose, we are committed to excellence in how we care for and support one another, our patients and the communities we serve.”

Great Place To Work uses its Trust Index Survey to evaluate workplace experiences across job roles, demographics, and employment status. Companies are selected for their ability to provide positive outcomes for all employees.

“Congratulations to the Best Workplaces in Health Care,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work.“In every industry, our research shows that investing in people drives productivity and higher revenues. When trust levels are high in an organization, people don’t fear AI — they embrace it.”

Earlier this year, Baptist Health was also named on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the 25th time, ranking #70 as the only healthcare system from Florida included. Additionally, it was recognized as one of America’s Most Innovative Companies by Fortune and Statista for a third consecutive year.

Baptist Health South Florida operates 12 hospitals with more than 28,000 employees across Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. The not-for-profit organization is affiliated with Florida International University as both an academic and clinical partner.
