The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will host First Responders Day on September 12, offering free admission to law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMT/paramedics. The event is intended as a gesture of appreciation for the work of local first responders.

Special activities are planned between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., including appearances by the Sanford Fire Department and Seminole County Fire Department with fire engines and trucks on site. Crews will distribute goodies to children during this time. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office will also participate, providing sticker badges and equipment displays for guests.

Free admission for first responders is only available at the gate on September 12 with proof of employment required. Tickets cannot be purchased online. More details about the event can be found at https://www.centralfloridazoo.org/event/honoring-first-responders/.
