A new food hall is set to open in the former Time Out Market space in Miami Beach. City Food Hall has leased a 20,900-square-foot venue at 1601 Drexel Avenue, near Lincoln Road, and plans to open next summer, according to information from the tenant’s broker.

Irma Figueroa of Comras Company represented City Food Hall in the lease agreement, while Dillon Maya of Avenue acted for the landlord. The Miami-based company, led by Peter Rounce, already operates locations across Florida in West Palm Beach, Destin, Gainesville, and Orlando. It also intends to expand into Athens, Georgia. Camila Dulcetti of Nova Design will be responsible for designing the interior of the South Beach location.

Time Out Market previously operated at this address but closed its South Beach branch in 2023 after four years. The venue was closed for almost a year during pandemic-related lockdowns. Paul Cejas—former U.S. ambassador to Belgium under President Bill Clinton and chairman of PLC Investments—owns the building through an affiliate.

In another development, Blu Hospitality Group will bring its first South Florida restaurant to River Landing Shops & Residences on Northwest North River Drive in Miami. Blu has signed a lease for 6,500 square feet at River Landing’s restaurant row overlooking the Miami River and expects to open next year with features such as a terrace bar and private mezzanine.

River Landing is a mixed-use complex completed by Urban-X Group in 2020 that includes apartments, retail space, offices and dedicated restaurant areas.

Ludlow Coffee Supply will establish its second Brickell outpost at Domus Brickell Park condo-hotel project at 1611 Southwest Second Avenue in Miami. The coffee shop leased a total of 7,500 square feet including patio space; phase one of Domus Brickell Park is expected early next year with phase two later in the year.

Spanish nightlife software firm Fourvenues has opened its U.S. headquarters at Sabadell Financial Center on Brickell Avenue as part of an expansion that includes plans for a New York office as well. Fourvenues provides software tools for nightclubs and event venues internationally.

Good Greek Moving & Storage will occupy more than 61,000 square feet at Bridge Point Port Everglades industrial facility starting February next year.

Gibson Garage plans to launch a store and music venue at Wynwood Garage on Northwest 26th Street this spring; it will feature over 500 guitars along with apparel sales and live performances supporting Latin American artists affiliated with Gibson.
