Film Florida has announced that it will offer packages for its members to attend the Cannes Marché du Film and the Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May 12–23, 2026. This initiative is in partnership with Film USA, providing members an opportunity to participate in one of the most established film industry events worldwide.

The Cannes Marché du Film operates alongside the Cannes Film Festival as its business counterpart. It is recognized as the largest film market globally, attracting producers, distributors, sales agents, and buyers from various countries. The event offers networking opportunities, workshops, and panels for professionals across the industry. The International Village at the Marché serves as a central hub where national pavilions represent their cinema and related services, facilitating meetings and negotiations among global participants.

Registration for the “General Member Package” costs $1,000 for members and $1,200 for non-members. The package includes a badge for access to the Cannes Marché du Film, full access to the Film USA Pavilion, a Cinando account per badge holder, invitations to all panel discussions and receptions at the pavilion—including a proposed “Florida Day”—and participation in a “How to do Cannes” webinar hosted by Film USA. Attendees also receive recommendations on accommodations and travel arrangements while in France.

Film Florida highlights several reasons why filmmakers might consider attending. These include networking with industry professionals such as producers and financiers; meeting distributors who may acquire film rights; pitching projects to potential investors; showcasing works-in-progress; attending panels on industry trends; exploring international co-productions; gaining prestige by participating in a high-profile event; connecting with global film buyers; engaging with peers facing similar challenges; and increasing visibility within the industry.

Those interested in joining through Film Florida are asked to email info@filmflorida.org by January 23, 2026. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for “Florida Day” at the Film USA Pavilion.

As part of its ongoing activities, Film Florida regularly provides networking and professional development opportunities for both members and non-members. The organization is active in promoting member film festivals throughout Florida and offers financial grants and scholarships to industry professionals and students. According to Film Florida, enabling members to attend events like Cannes helps promote Florida as a production destination on an international stage.

Film Florida encourages those not currently enrolled as members to consider joining its network. Membership offers access to resources aimed at strengthening Florida’s role in film production.

Film USA is described as a nonprofit association supporting US film commissions with a mission focused on maximizing economic benefits for the US film sector by improving connections among stakeholders.
