Film Florida partners with WIFT-FL South Florida for networking event at MAD Arts

Film Florida has announced a partnership with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale to host an after-hours tour, information session, and networking event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. MAD Arts serves as a museum and community space that focuses on the intersection of art and technology. The venue features various interactive experiences, outdoor sculptures, experimental labs, artist prototypes, research projects, and large-scale projections.

The event will include a private tour of the museum and a presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. After the tour and presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to network while enjoying drinks and light bites.

The gathering is open to all filmmakers and creators. It is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at MAD Arts located at 481 S Federal Hwy in Dania Beach. Registration is required for attendance; WIFT members can attend free of charge while guests are asked to pay $10.
