The Florida Board of Bar Examiners has released the results of the July 2025 General Bar Examination. Chair Timothy Danninger of Jacksonville announced that the Supreme Court of Florida approved the release.

A total of 2,152 first-time applicants sat for the full Bar Examination on July 29-30, 2025, in Tampa. Of these, 1,687 passed, resulting in a passage rate of 78.4 percent among first-time test takers.

The exam is divided into several sections: Part A and Part B of the General Bar Examination and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination. Some candidates take only specific parts if they are repeating or have previously passed certain sections. Applicants can also transfer a valid Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) score from another jurisdiction and then need to complete only Part A in Florida.

A detailed breakdown of partial and repeat test takers is available at floridabarexam.org.

“The results of the July 2025 General Bar Examination are approved for release by the Supreme Court of Florida,” said Timothy Danninger.
