Florida International University (FIU) has been recognized as one of the Top 50 public universities in the United States, securing the No. 46 spot, according to U.S. News & World Report. The university also advanced in the overall national ranking to No. 97.
FIU was named No. 1 nationally for upward economic mobility, highlighting the value of its educational offerings. Other notable rankings include No. 2 among public universities for international business, No. 11 for best value, No. 16 in innovation, and No. 45 for veterans.
“These rankings come on the heels of a series of recent national accolades that demonstrate the power of FIU, Miami’s public research university rooted in excellence and innovation,” said Jeanette M. Nuñez, President of Florida International University.
Nuñez emphasized that these achievements reflect increased opportunities and success for students, more research initiatives, and a broader impact locally and globally: “Our prominence and national reputation mean more opportunity and success for our students, more groundbreaking research, and more meaningful impact here in Florida, across the nation, and around the world.”
She attributed FIU’s progress to the dedication of its community: “Our continued success is possible because of the tireless work and commitment of our students, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni. To every Panther – past, present, and future – thank you for being a part of our mission and growing our university.”
Nuñez reaffirmed FIU’s goal to become a Top 30 public university by 2030.
