The Florida Medical Association (FMA) hosted medical students and residents from around the state at its downtown Tallahassee office on Tuesday for the annual Days at the Capitol event. The gathering coincided with the Florida Legislature being in session.

Members of the FMA’s Medical Student Section and Resident & Fellow Section attended the event, which offered them a direct view of how legislation is made and how the FMA works to represent physicians licensed in Florida.

“We thank all of our participants for bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this year’s event!” stated the FMA.

The event aimed to connect future physicians with lawmakers and provide insight into advocacy efforts within state government.
