The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will convene a Commission Conference on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in Tallahassee. The event will take place at the Betty Easley Conference Center in the Joseph P. Cresse Hearing Room.

After the conference and an Internal Affairs meeting, the PSC will hold its annual workshop to review the 10-year site plans submitted by Florida’s electric utilities. These plans detail expected upgrades and changes needed to maintain reliable electric service over the next decade.

The workshop agenda includes presentations from both the Electric Power Research Institute and the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council, Inc., which are expected to provide additional insight into long-term system planning and reliability.

According to state law, the PSC is required to review these site plans each year and determine if they are “suitable” or “unsuitable.” The findings are then sent to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for use in decisions about power plant and transmission line siting certification.

Public comment may be taken on any item noticed for public participation during the conference. Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact the PSC’s Office of General Counsel at 850-413-6199.

A live broadcast of both events will be available online via the PSC’s website, with possible additional coverage by The Florida Channel depending on local listings.
