The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a virtual customer meeting for those served by Sun Communities Finance, LLC, doing business as Water Oak Utility. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Water Oak Utility submitted an application to the FPSC in June 2025 seeking approval for a rate increase. The utility currently supplies water service to 1,265 residential customers and 17 general service customers in Lake County.

The upcoming meeting is intended to allow customers to provide feedback on both the quality of Water Oak’s service and the proposed rate adjustment. According to the FPSC, all comments received from customers will be taken into account during the evaluation of Water Oak’s request for higher rates.

Those wishing to speak at the meeting are required to register beforehand. Registration can be completed through the FPSC’s online speaker sign-up form found under the “Hot Topics” section on its homepage. Customers without internet access may also register by calling (850) 413-7080 or by sending an email.

Speaker registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, and closes at noon on Tuesday, January 20.

A live broadcast of the virtual customer meeting will be available via the FPSC website by selecting “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events.”

For further details about the event or registration process, customers are encouraged to visit the FPSC website.
