Nominations are now open for the 5th Annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award, which recognizes volunteer leaders who have made significant contributions to Florida’s manufacturing sector. The award honors the memory of Bob Provitola, former Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Provitola was known for his dedication to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in Florida with a focus on strengthening the state’s manufacturing economy and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.

According to FloridaMakes, “This award was created in memory of Bob Provitola, Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Bob dedicated his career to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in Florida, all with the goal of building a stronger manufacturing economy and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.”

The organization added: “Each year, we continue his legacy by recognizing individuals who demonstrate outstanding advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism.”

Volunteer service is not limited to those serving as “loaned executives.” Nominations are submitted through an online form and reviewed by a committee composed of manufacturers and stakeholders. All nominees are evaluated based on their impact on Florida’s manufacturing community.

The deadline for nominations is October 8, 2025. More information about eligibility requirements and how to submit nominations can be found at www.FloridaMakes.com/Bob-Provitola-Award.
