Fontainebleau Development appoints Raj Mohan to lead JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort

In recent developments in South Florida’s real estate sector, several firms have announced new hires and leadership appointments.

Fontainebleau Development has named Raj Mohan as vice president and managing director for the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. According to a press release, Mohan previously served as managing director at Pyramid Global Hospitality’s Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, a property featuring extensive sports facilities. He also brings experience from resort operations roles in Aruba, Jamaica, China, and Canada. In his new position, Mohan will focus on enhancing guest experiences and seeking business growth opportunities.

Linkvest Capital has expanded its board of directors with the addition of Eddy Arriola, Nicolás Santos, and Juan David Perdomo. The Miami-based alternative investment firm is led by principal Camilo Niño. Arriola is currently CEO of Arriola & Co., and was formerly founder, chairman, and CEO of Apollo Bank—a community bank that was sold to Seacoast National Bank in 2022. Santos is a founding partner at Ikalon in Bogotá, while Perdomo leads Vision Planning Group.

Compass has added two teams to its South Florida presence. Galleria International Realty from Fort Lauderdale joins Compass with 71 agents under the leadership of Patricia Anglero. Founded in 2009, this team has completed over $2 billion in sales. Additionally, the Andrade Group—led by Jorge Andrade and Henny Barreto—has joined Compass with 29 agents specializing in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange counties. This group reports $50 million in annual sales.

Serhant has hired Veronica Peters for its Delray Beach office. Peters brings more than $88 million in career sales volume and most recently worked at Premier Estate Properties as an agent based in Boca Raton since 2021.

Weiss Law has brought on Andy Gross as Of Counsel. Gross is a real estate attorney who comes from Gross Simon PLLC; his previous work includes projects such as W Fort Lauderdale and Infinity at Brickell.
