Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, near Naples, Florida, will begin a major renovation of its meeting and event spaces in mid-July. The multi-million-dollar project is scheduled for completion by early fall and aims to enhance the resort’s facilities with design elements inspired by the surrounding coastal environment.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce these reimagined spaces later this year, designed to inspire and connect,” said Rhett Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “By capturing the essence of our serene natural setting, this project will enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the spaces with nods to our surrounding environment, offering an ideal backdrop to drive meaningful meetings and elegant event experiences.”
The renovation will incorporate colors such as ocean blues, deep greens, and sandy beige accents. New carpeting, wall coverings, and artwork reflecting the gulf-side location will be added. Lighting updates include a mesh chandelier in the Estero Ballroom designed to resemble a conch shell and Preciosa lighting installations featuring opalescent glasswork with silver accents throughout other areas.
Improvements also extend outdoors with upgrades planned for the Calusa Ballroom Terrace. The terrace will receive new pavers, improved lighting, integrated turf, and redesigned landscaping aimed at creating a tropical garden atmosphere.
Other updates include a new digital signage display bordered by custom wood millwork at the registration desk area. Meeting space restrooms will be refreshed with stone tones, greens and blues along with updated wooden vanities and modern fixtures.
This latest project follows recent renovations at the resort: guest rooms were fully renovated in 2022; Tarpon Bay restaurant was redesigned in 2023 along with enhancements to the water park; Tanglewood – A Southern Kitchen debuted its renovated space with coastal design elements in 2024.
Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa offers more than 82,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space. Outdoor venues include Belvedere Terrace set against fountains and waterfalls; Banyan Courtyard featuring live oak trees; Royal Palm Courtyard; Cypress Courtyard; all providing options for events amid tropical landscaping.
Indoor facilities feature the 14,000-square-foot Calusa Ballroom with adjoining terrace and the 7,000-square-foot Estero Ballroom plus additional small- to mid-sized rooms such as Blue Heron and Great Egret which have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking tropical views. Private dining is available at The Cove within Tarpon Bay restaurant.
Groups visiting can access Big Hickory Island—a private island that forms part of Estero Bay Ecological Preserve—and can arrange off-site activities like fishing charters or kayak tours through partnerships with Global Works Events.
