The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has extended the registration deadline for its Retirees Education and Strategy Program (RESP), scheduled to take place from September 21-26, 2025, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Interested participants now have until Monday, August 18, 2025, to submit their registrations.

The RESP program is organized by the IAM Retirees and Membership Assistance Department. It aims to provide retired and soon-to-retire members with information and training on issues relevant to their lives. The program covers topics such as organizing and maintaining Retirees Clubs, legislative and political strategies, Social Security and Medicare programs, developing action plans for Retiree Clubs, participating in Alliance for Retired Americans activities, and organizing volunteers among retired members.

According to the IAM, the program is designed to equip retirees with skills and resources so they can support other retirees seeking help with these issues.

Members with questions about the RESP are encouraged to contact the IAM Retirees and Membership Assistance Department at 301-967-4717.
