As the year draws to a close, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) International President Brian Bryant shared a holiday message with union members and their families.
Bryant expressed appreciation for the work IAM members do across various industries. “IAM Union members make the holidays happen – and your union couldn’t be prouder of the work you do,” he said.
He highlighted the role of IAM members in essential sectors such as airports, railroads, shops, facilities, and worksites that are vital to daily life. Bryant acknowledged their commitment during the holiday season: “From our airports and railroads to the shops, facilities, and worksites that millions rely on every day, your talent and dedication keep this country running, even as others head home to celebrate. I see the sacrifice, the long hours, and the pride you take in your craft. It doesn’t go unnoticed.”
Bryant also emphasized that being part of IAM is about more than just labor negotiations. “The holidays also remind us that our union is more than contracts and negotiations – it’s a family. It’s the way we show up for one another, lift each other, and make sure no member stands alone. That spirit of solidarity is what makes the IAM Union strong, and it’s what gives me hope for the year ahead,” he stated.
He concluded by thanking members for their contributions not only to the union but also to their communities: “Thank you for everything you do, not just for our union, but for your communities and for working people everywhere. We are grateful for each and every one of you.”
On behalf of himself and the entire IAM Executive Council, Bryant wished all members a peaceful holiday season: “On behalf of the entire IAM Executive Council, I wish you and your loved ones a season filled with peace, warmth, and gratitude – and a New Year full of hope and opportunity.”
