Ideal Nutrition has opened a new store in downtown Fort Lauderdale as part of its expansion across Florida. The company, which offers healthy meal delivery services, has leased 1,300 square feet on the ground floor of Coasterra Apartments at 150 Southeast Third Avenue. Scott Weprin of Colliers represented Ideal Nutrition in the lease transaction, while Jonathan Rosen of JLL represented the landlord.

Coasterra Apartments is a 242-unit tower developed by Fairfield Residential. The building was completed last year and includes approximately 9,500 square feet of space for restaurants and retail businesses.

Ideal Nutrition, led by Wolfgang Brunet, also expanded its operations earlier this year with a lease for a 43,200-square-foot warehouse at Prologis Airport Center in unincorporated Palm Beach County. The company currently operates stores in several South Florida locations: West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, downtown Miami and Wellington. Plans are underway to open additional stores in Miramar and Boynton Beach.

In another development, Bridge Industrial has secured Barberi International as a tenant at Bridge Point Doral. Barberi International specializes in importing and distributing Latin American snacks and will occupy 32,500 square feet at Building 1 within the campus located at 3600 Northwest 107th Avenue. This move will allow Barberi to consolidate its two South Florida facilities into one location.

Wayne Ramoski from Cushman & Wakefield represented Bridge Industrial during the leasing process; Nicolas Palazzo from the same firm represented Barberi International.

Bridge Industrial is developing Bridge Point Doral on a site spanning 175 acres. When finished, the project will offer approximately 2.6 million square feet of industrial space across multiple buildings. The first phase includes five buildings set for completion by year-end; two more buildings are expected next year as part of phase two.

Within Bridge Point Doral’s grounds, SJC Ventures and Nuveen Real Estate are constructing Doral Marketplace—a retail center anchored by Whole Foods—on land purchased last year for $32 million from Bridge Industrial.

Bridge Industrial’s portfolio covers about 11 million square feet of industrial properties that are either completed or under construction throughout South Florida.

American Thrift Stores is also growing its presence with a new lease for nearly 33,000 square feet at 520 West 49th Street in Hialeah. Scott Witkowski and Chris Haass from Cohen Commercial Realty handled the lease for American Thrift Stores.

The shopping center where American Thrift Stores will operate is owned by an affiliate linked to Philips International based in Great Neck, New York.
