Dozens of workers from Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico, along with their supporters, held a rally at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and at the company’s facility in Aguadilla. The demonstration aimed to urge Lufthansa Technik to halt actions that workers describe as union-busting and to respect the workforce responsible for aircraft maintenance.

Participants in the rally called on the company to stop tactics they say are designed to divide employees and undermine union efforts. In a statement delivered during the event, workers said: “stop the union-busting tactics, end the efforts to divide workers, and respect the professionals who keep aircraft flying safely every day.”

The protest highlights ongoing tensions between some Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico employees and management regarding labor practices.
