Andrew Rasken’s Meta Development has started sales for Colette, a new boutique condominium project planned for Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. The development will be located at 1880 Brickell Avenue and is set to include five stories and 38 luxury units, with prices beginning at $3.3 million.
The Eklund-Gomes Team from Douglas Elliman, led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, has been chosen to handle sales and marketing. Eklund commented on the appeal of smaller projects: “Boutique is what everyone wants now. These huge glass towers can take many, many, many years to build and sometimes to sell out. There’s a little more risk as a buyer.”
Colette will offer floor plans ranging from two to four bedrooms and feature two penthouses. Amenities in the building will include a rooftop pool, wellness facilities, screening room, children’s playroom, and meeting room. The Brazilian architecture group OSPA is involved in the design.
Rasken stated his vision for the project: “We believe that the next chapter in South Florida is not just height and glass.” He expects that buyers will mainly be local residents—particularly younger individuals who have been renting in Brickell—and some from the Northeast region. Both Rasken and Eklund anticipate that most buyers will use their units as primary residences.
Rasken entered into contract for the 0.8-acre site last year for $10.7 million. He also developed Opus, another boutique condo project in Coconut Grove with 14 units. In August, he secured a $28 million construction loan from Arixa Capital for this new development.
