Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Health South Florida, has announced that it will host its Fourth Annual Precision Oncology Symposium on January 30–31, 2026. The event will take place at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Florida and will focus on recent advances in treating solid tumors using targeted agents and combination therapies. The symposium will also address new molecular-based systemic therapies.
According to Manmeet Ahluwalia, M.D., FASCO, MBA, who serves as the Fernandez Family Foundation Endowed Chair in Cancer Research, Chief of Medical Oncology, and Chief Scientific Officer & Deputy Director at Miami Cancer Institute: “The 2026 symposium brings together an extraordinary group of international and national experts in precision oncology. Attendees will gain valuable insights from leading oncologists, and we are proud to continue positioning South Florida as a hub for innovation and collaboration in cancer care.”
Topics at the symposium will include updates on therapeutic strategies for solid tumor malignancies. Presentations will cover new diagnostic and treatment approaches for various cancers such as lung, breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, head and neck tumors, melanoma, sarcomas, and brain tumors. There will also be discussions about the timing of diagnostic tests, molecular profiling techniques, and possible combinations of targeted treatments.
The symposium is intended as an educational opportunity for healthcare professionals including oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, palliative care staff, nurses specializing in oncology and hematology, pharmacists, medical students, residents and fellows in training as well as research staff interested in solid tumor malignancies.
