Nicanda Gordon joins Baptist Health Primary Care as new family medicine physician

Family medicine physician Nicanda Gordon, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Primary Care in Delray Beach. Dr. Gordon will serve as a primary care provider, offering comprehensive healthcare and focusing on preventive care and lifestyle medicine. His clinical practice includes the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, obesity, COPD, sickle cell disease, asthma, osteoarthritis, sexual health concerns, and smoking cessation.

Marcella Gravalese, MBA-HSA, vice president of Baptist Health Medical Group North, stated: “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Gordon to our highly skilled team of medical professionals, dedicated to providing the highest quality care to our patients.”

Dr. Gordon completed his medical degree at the University of the West Indies School of Medicine in Jamaica and finished his family medicine residency at Community Health of South Florida with rotations at Jackson Health System in Miami.

In describing his approach to patient care, Dr. Gordon said: “I collaborate with my patients to create practical and personal care plans. I also stress the importance of annual wellness exams to ensure they are focused on prevention, long-term health and quality of life.”

He is fluent in English and Spanish and will see patients at Baptist Health Primary Care located at 237 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach.
