The city of Miramar was incorporated in 1955 and encompasses 31 square miles. The 2010 census recorded 122,041 people living in the city. The city’s name translates as “look at the sea” in Spanish, and also shares the name with a suburb of Havana, Cuba. Its current mayor is Lori C. Moseley. City Hall is at 2300 Civic Center Place.
