Pensacola has seen recent developments in its hospitality and recreation sectors, with the introduction of its first rooftop venues. The city’s dining scene is expanding, offering new restaurants and coastal cuisine options.

Outdoor attractions have also grown. Bruce Beach, a historic site for African American recreation near downtown Pensacola, has undergone significant revitalization. The first phase opened in 2022, with the second phase completed on November 8, 2024.

In Perdido Key, a new multi-use path was completed in 2024. This trail improves bike and pedestrian access throughout the area by connecting recreational sites, beach entrances, and neighborhoods. It is designed to promote environmentally friendly travel and enhance safety for those not using vehicles.

Additionally, Portside Pickle is scheduled to open in July 2025.
