SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream event has been recognized as one of the top five best theme park Halloween events in the United States by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. It was also named the leading Halloween event in Florida.

This year, the event introduces a new character, Havoc, who is described as “the face of fear at Howl-O-Scream.” According to organizers, “With fire, fury and no mercy, Havoc leads guests into a night where chaos is worshipped and fear fuels the experience.” The character features prominently in a new stunt show called Throttle, which includes motorcycles and fire effects.

To mark this recognition, SeaWorld Orlando is offering discounted tickets for select nights through its Slash Sale promotion. Tickets start at $45.99.

Howl-O-Scream features five haunted houses—three of which are new this year—along with six scare zones spread throughout the park. Four roller coasters operate during nighttime hours for attendees. Other attractions include two groups of roaming scare actors, five themed bars serving specialty cocktails such as the Solar Flare Margarita, limited-time food options like Spooky Teriyaki Chicken, and ongoing live entertainment including Throttle.

The event runs on select nights until November 1, 2025, from 7 p.m. to midnight at SeaWorld Orlando.

SeaWorld operates marine life parks that combine animal encounters with educational programs and rides. The company has a history of supporting marine conservation efforts through science and education initiatives. SeaWorld parks are located in Orlando, San Antonio, San Diego, and Abu Dhabi.
