Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) has signed more than 260,000 square feet in new and renewed office leases. Among the new tenants, All Star Recruiting Locums leased 42,700 square feet and will relocate from Deerfield Beach, while Cinch Home Services leased 32,900 square feet. EchoTwin AI, a technology firm focused on AI spatial intelligence for cities, took 2,700 square feet for its first office as founder Chris Carson moves from San Francisco to South Florida.
Existing tenants at BRiC renewing their leases include Modernizing Medicine with 127,800 square feet, Everglades University with 52,600 square feet, and NewtekOne with 7,800 square feet.
All Star Recruiting, Cinch Home Services and Modernizing Medicine were represented by Ryan Nunes and Alan Kleber of Cushman & Wakefield. Everglades University was represented by JJL’s Zach Wendelin and Adam Bernstein—Bernstein has since joined Stream Realty. Jeff Kelly of CBRE acted for the landlord.
BRiC is owned by CP Group—led by Angelo Bianco and Chris Eachus—and DRA Advisors—led by David Luski. In 2021, DRA acquired a stake in the campus for $320.2 million. The campus was originally developed by IBM in the 1960s and is currently undergoing a $100 million renovation to add amenities such as flexible spec suites under CP Group’s worCPlaces portfolio, a wellness center managed by Boca Raton Regional Hospital, an autonomous store, coffee shops, gyms and event spaces. Plans are also underway to redevelop BRiC into a mixed-use complex that includes residential units, retail space, dining options and a grocery store; city officials approved rezoning in 2023.
Ripco Real Estate has moved its Miami office from Brickell to Wynwood. The company now occupies 5,200 square feet at Gateway at Wynwood on North Miami Avenue—a larger space than its previous Brickell location—to support staff growth and centralize operations in South Florida markets. Tony Pavli of Ripco said the move would accommodate future expansion needs.
Ripco opened its Miami branch in 2021 amid increased migration to South Florida that drove demand for office leasing. The firm provides services including retail leasing representation and investment sales across asset classes. Last year it acquired Acre, a local retail brokerage.
Gateway at Wynwood is owned by Cire Equity following an acquisition through credit bid after foreclosure proceedings against former owner R&B Realty over loan defaults.
In Aventura Mall, Morgan Motor Company has launched its first U.S. showroom called TxtCharlie through Morgan Fort Lauderdale dealership.
Club Studio gym has opened a new facility spanning 38,000 square feet at Miami Worldcenter mixed-use complex downtown.
Reforming Pilates will open another studio at Mary Brickell Village in January after signing a lease for 1,500 square feet; this expands on locations already operating in Bay Harbor Islands and other cities.
Kimco Realty recently secured three new tenants—restaurant Cava (2,700 sq ft), retailer Miniso (7,000 sq ft), and Yoga Joint (5,400 sq ft)—at Palms at Town and Country shopping center in Kendall. Kimco assumed ownership of Mary Brickell Village after acquiring RPT Realty last year as part of a $2 billion deal.
Nason Yeager Gerson Harris & Fumero law firm has renewed its lease at Seacoast Banking Center in Palm Beach Gardens while expanding into additional contiguous space totaling nearly 24,000 square feet combined.
Play Sporting Lounge will open later this year with both indoor/outdoor bars and entertainment features at CityPlace Doral; Continental Realty Group owns the retail portion following an acquisition earlier this year.
Italian brand Rimadesio has opened its flagship showroom in Edgewater Miami ahead of its November grand opening event.
Finally, chefs Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth have opened Florida Room restaurant within The Fort recreational center in Fort Lauderdale.
