South Florida’s real estate sector has seen a series of leadership changes as several firms announce new appointments.
Robert Rivani has promoted Marc Shandler, previously the chief legal officer at Black Lion Investment Group, to chief operating officer of his namesake real estate investment firm. Shandler will keep his legal responsibilities while also managing operational and growth strategies for the company.
Eastham Capital, based in Boca Raton, named Anthony Librot as its new chief financial officer. Librot joins from Senné, a Boston-based real estate investment firm where he served as chief accounting officer. He brings experience from prior executive roles at New England Dental Group and AAM15 Management. At Eastham Capital, Librot will oversee accounting, compliance, and risk management.
Miami’s Waramaug Hospitality appointed Alex Ulnick as vice president of acquisitions. Ulnick comes from Peregrine Hospitality in Denver, Colorado, where he spent four years and most recently held the same title. In his new role at Waramaug, Ulnick will lead sourcing, underwriting, and structuring for hotel investments. Waramaug’s portfolio currently includes 51 hotels across 14 states.
Native Realty in Fort Lauderdale added brokers Jeff Dysart and Connor Gordon to its team. Dysart will work with developers and contractors on large multifamily projects while Gordon will focus on industrial leasing and investment sales.
AnneMarie Alexander is moving from Corcoran Group to Douglas Elliman as a new development specialist working in both South Florida and New York. Over her career, Alexander has closed more than $1 billion in sales and will now be based out of Elliman’s Biscayne Boulevard office.
Oscar Arellano and his team are leaving Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty for Coldwell Banker Realty after nearly six years with BHHS EWM. Arellano was previously an agent at Fortune International Realty (now Fortune Christie’s International Real Estate) for 16 years. His team closed over $100 million in sales last year alone.
Serhant continues expanding its Palm Beach office by bringing on Greg Forest from Sotheby’s International Realty. Forest has closed more than $250 million in career sales, including over $60 million in the past year.
Related Ross hired Adam McPherson as senior vice president of residential sales for West Palm Beach operations. McPherson will work on the planned South Flagler House alongside Corcoran Group’s Suzanne Frisbie team after eight years handling luxury sales at Douglas Elliman.
Colliers’ Boca Raton office brought on Michael Nisenbaum as vice president specializing in land development and senior housing; he previously worked with Belmont Senior Village Living focusing on acquisitions and investments.
